Rainy Day

What a difference from Friday in the weather.
It is a rainy day here but Andrew still made it out fishing. he found his nets in good condition and lots of trout. The fish he found were quite large and they must of been eating well. They will be put aside for smoking for Dufferin Groves Market.
The smoker is going right now for Riverdale's Market. We are hoping the rain avoids the market but we shall see.
Markets yesterday went well. Andrew sold out at Wychwood early and I came close at Brickworks. Owen Sounds Market also did well. We were able to sell most of our cedar planked fish. The planked fish is usually a nice sized fish that is ready for the barbecue for the planks have already been soaked for a couple of hours. We love the smell of cedar. While the planks are soaking it fills the plant with the lovely smell of cedar. The planks make the fish a quick easy meal. You just need to put it on the barbecue that is on medium heat and close the lid for 15-20 minutes. You can season your fish to your liking before cooking. Then just enjoy possibly with some barbecued potatoes, asparagus. or other grilled veggies. Nice thing as the summer goes on the supper can be cooked outside and you don't need to turn on the stove/oven.
